We're off to India for my 50th birthday and Christmas, making a trip to Aripalam see the restoration work to grandma Montaut's grave has been done. Follow our adventures as we have a very indian christmas!

We made it to aripalam today. The grave looks fantastic. We now have lots of new friends and we can return tuesday and pay the builder etc
This is not as the original shape which is disappointing, but it does look good , is the wording all correct ? it is difficult to see from this angle. I will try to print it out. Thank you both so very much , I have worried about this for so long I want to cry with relief, enjoy the rest of your stay . lots og grateful love hugs & Kisses Cherie
I'm from Aripalam...good to see the pics you've uploaded...the grave next to your grandma's on the righthand side is my parents...I remember Alfred Montaut and Winne Montaut..are they related to you ?...
Marina, This grave is our parish, Aripalam. We are from Jose Pereira family, I'm Hazel Pereira, Jose Pereira's son belongs to the same Parish. Bernie Montaut, your Grandmother was a very good friend of our family. We had a good relationship with her. One of her son Dicky Montaut was a friend to me. Just want to say a Hi to you after seeing this blog.
i was going through our dioceses website and found the name Mr. Lawrence Montaut... a little bit of googling landed me in your blog and i am really surprised..... my name is jerin and i am from a village near to aripalam... just curious to know how your family reached and settled at aripalam... looking forward to read a bit of your family history.... thank u...
